2. Member and Secretary of the National Council of the Ministry of Education & Training (MOET) in Economics and Administration Curriculums Board.
3. Member of The National Economic Council of The Fatherland Front of Vietnam.
4. Member of The Standing Board of The VN General Confederation of Labour (VGCL).
5. Member of The Standing Board of The Labour Confederation of HCMC (HCMLC).
6. Member of The Scientific Board of The HCMC Institute of Economics & Social.
7. Member of The Scientific Board of The Institute for Orient Study and Human Potential.
8. Member, The American Academy of Politics and Social Sciences (AAPSS) since 2005.
9. Member, The American Economic Association (AEA) since 2005.

2. PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES

1. Studied and took Undergraduate degree in Economics at The University of Ho Chi Minh City (HCMCU) in 1990; and Master degree in Economics in 1994.
2. 1994, Assistant Professor of the HCMCU as well as Adjunct Professor at The Open University of Ho Chi Minh City.
3. From 1995 to 1996: Doing research work at the Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand, and conducted the Ph.D thesis named: Monetary Policy of the Central Bank in late 1996.
4. 1997: Assi. Professor of National University of Ho Chi Minh City until March, 1999.
5. March, 1999: Vice President, the Ton Duc Thang University (TUT) which is now belonged to VGCL and a State University.
6. From Sep., 2000 to July 2001, studying and conducting research in The Fulbright Exchange Scholar Program at The George Washington University, Washington DC.
7. From July 2001 to Dec., 2006, working as the Vice President The University (TUT);
8. 01/2007: Nominated as President of The TUT; and Professor from July., 2007.
9. 11/2008: gained the title of Excellent Professor, given by the President of SRVN.
10. 07/2010: was awarded the 3rd Labour Achievement Medal by the President of SRVN.
11. Having done projects in countries: Thailand, The United States.
